Will it fit in my carry-on?
Yes. It is small and light enough to pack beside your shoes, which is the main reason people keep using one instead of leaving it in a cupboard. It is a US 110-120V model, so it is built for travel within the States rather than overseas.
Will it run out of water halfway through?
The 180ml tank handles a shirt, trousers and a jacket on one fill. Running dry mid-garment is the most common complaint about handheld steamers, and it is the reason for the larger tank.
Will it ruin silk or wool?
Not on the low setting, kept moving. There are three heat levels plus a dry press mode so the heat matches the fabric. Test an inside seam first on anything you are unsure about.
Can it really press a collar, or just soften it?
It presses. Lay the collar flat, press, lift. Steam alone will not put an edge on a collar with any brand, which is why the ceramic plate is there. This is the part that lets it replace an iron for most things.
Does it work on thick fabric like denim?
Honestly, it is best on shirts, dresses, knitwear and suiting. Heavy denim work uniforms and thick canvas need more pressure than any handheld unit gives. If that is most of your wardrobe, a full-size iron is the better tool.
Will it spit water on my clothes?
Not if you fill to the MAX line and let it reach temperature before you start. Overfilling and starting too early are what cause spitting on any steamer, and they are the cause of most water-mark complaints in this category.
What happens if it stops working?
We replace it. Every unit has a two-year warranty. The most common one-star review on cheap handheld steamers is that it died after a couple of uses, so this is the part we will not be vague about.
Do I still need my iron?
